CREATION OF A TRANSITIONS LABORATORY: TRANSDISCIPLINARY, FORWARD-LOOKING AND PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH In close collaboration with its faculties and research units, ULiège is working towards the creation, in 2025, of a place dedicated to transdisciplinary, forward-looking and participatory research on transition issues. The aim is to incubate new dynamics and provide collaborative initiatives (such as One Health) with a space and methodological equipment to stimulate interdisciplinary dialogue, a progressive approach and the involvement of non-scientific experts in the production of knowledge. MORE INFORMATION ECORESPONSIBILITY IN RESEARCH PRACTICES: STRUCTURING AND SETTING UP INSTITUTIONAL SCIENTIFIC PLATFORMS In the 2024-2025 academic year, the University plans to launch a policy to better organise and develop its scientific platforms. The aim is to align with the ambitions of sustainability, inclusion and innovation. The policy will encourage collaboration between stakeholders, all the while promoting material and energetic sobriety as well as transparency. It will make the platforms more accessible to researchers, avoid the purchase of expensive new equipment, and reduce the occupancy of buildings and the energy consumption associated with their use. 1.3. FUTURE PROJECTS ULiège’s next challenge will be to provide researchers with the means to produce knowledge and propose innovations, with cross-disciplinary perspectives, and to develop research that is up to the challenge.
