UNIC’S NEW SEOS MASTER’S: SUPERDIVERSITY IN EDUCATION AND SOCIETY From October 2024, the University will launch the SEOS (Superdiversity in Education, Organisations and Society) Master’s programme. This Master’s programme explores superdiversity and the intersectionality of social categories, such as ethnicity and gender, in a context of growing crisis and inequality. Students will analyse the impact of superdiversity on education, organisations and society, and develop skills to contribute to inclusive and sustainable European societies. Elsa Mescoli MORE INFORMATION SUSTAINABILITY AND TRANSITION IN FACULTY AND PROGRAMME EVALUATION From 2025, ULiège’s quality assurance system will incorporate questions relating to sustainability and transition. At programme level, the aim is for these considerations to be taken into account when assessing the ResearchSociety link for courses and teaching activities. Each faculty will be invited to regularly review the way in which it defines its vision and the projects aimed at developing skills in sustainability and social and environmental transition. MORE INFORMATION SERVICE LEARNING: LEARNING THROUGH CIVIC EXPERIENCE The Service Learning project, which is part of the institutional strategy, introduces a practical learning method where students participate in services that meet social needs. This approach combines classroom teaching, practical experience and civic engagement to enrich academic, professional and civic learning. From the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, 8 courses in 5 faculties will be awarded the ‘Service Learning’ label. For example, students on the Master’s degree in Medical Engineering will be working on technical solutions for hospital patients, while those on the Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education Sciences will be helping children with learning difficulties in a remedial teaching setting.
