As part of its commitment to social and environmental transition, ULiège supports members of the university community - students and/or staff - who are involved in eco-responsible and/or social projects, such as inclusive projects that have an impact on our campuses.

ULiège's Sustainable Development Unit launches a call for Sustainable Campus projects twice a year (in May and October) to provide financial support for actions and initiatives that contribute to the institution's ambitions for sustainable transformation.

To be eligible, projects must

  • Be detailed in a summary note of no more than 2-3 pages (see form below), presenting the issues, objectives and precise actions, the people involved, the targets, the phasing of the project, the location, as well as the budget requested;
  • Be submitted by members of the Université de Liège community, students and/or staff;
  • Include a budget request of max. 1000 EUR per project. In the project, any labor costs (student jobs, etc...) must not exceed 80% of the budget;
  • Not generate any commercial activity, except possibly on a small scale, if this ensures the project's sustainability or publicity;
  • Be in compliance with the law;
  • Be apolitical;
  • If a university department is involved in the project, ensure its active participation upstream.

Projects are evaluated according to 5 criteria:

  1. Relevance : impact on different dimensions of sustainability (environmental, social, economic), integration into the ULiège structure or existing initiatives.
  2. Quality and mobilizing character : mobilization of stakeholders or targets in the construction of the project or in its implementation, size of the target, communication envisaged around the project, etc
  3. Proposed methodology and implementation methods: coherence of phasing, technical feasibility and consideration of constraints.
  4. Sustainability of the project: integration of post-project reflection and sustainability of the action.
  5. Budget compliance: financial feasibility.
