FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE CHOUETTE SEMAINE TRANSVERSALE First launched in April 2025 on the initiative of the academic councils and faculty council, this week of educational innovation was an opportunity to collectively explore teaching methods developed through a process of co-construction between students and teachers, which began in October 2024. During the week, several sustainability and transition issues were explored and questioned: the reuse of materials and design for deconstruction through woodworking workshops, a deconstruction workshop and a public debate; food, from field to plate, through the organisation of a masterclass, the setting up of a collective canteen and a large banquet... Jean-Philippe Possoz (jp.possoz@uliege.be) FIND OUT MORE FACULTY OF SCIENCE CIRCULAR ECONOMY FRESCO AS PART OF AN INORGANIC CHEMISTRY COURSE In the third year of the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, "Inorganic Chemistry" laboratory classes are organised in the form of mini-research projects, exploring the preparation of innovative materials for energy or the environment. The materials in question, while considered essential for the energy transition, are very often composed of rare elements that are considered critical, or even toxic in some cases. In order to raise students' awareness of the issue of resources, whether minerals, water or fossil fuels, one morning was dedicated to a Circular Economy Fresco. The theme of this mural was the value of products, from the extraction of their raw materials to their recycling, including the extension of their lifespan. This enabled students to understand this complex subject from a more systemic perspective. Catherine Henrist (catherine.henrist@uliege.be) FIND OUT MORE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AND LETTERS DESIGN OF AN EXHIBITION ON GLASS AND ITS RECYCLING During the first term, students on the 'Exhibition Design' course worked on the development of the future exhibition organised by the Museum and Cultural Centre in autumn 2026 on glass research at the University of Liège as part of the 200th anniversary of Val Saint-Lambert. Among the themes addressed: eco-design, recycling, circular economy...
