FACULTY OF LAW, POLITICAL SCIENCE AND CRIMINOLOGY “ECOLOGY & POLITICS” COURSE Taught as part of the Master's degree in Political Science, general orientation, with a specialisation in Science, Technology and Society (STS), this interdisciplinary seminar course explores the concepts of ecology and politics through a variety of empirical situations and research methods. Rather than providing a fixed definition, it approaches them as tools for thinking about the world. Students carry out a sensory micro-ethnography, drawing on observations, images and sounds. The course includes presentations by guest researchers and aims to introduce participants to research in environmental humanities, with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity and critical engagement. François Thoreau (fthoreau@uliege.be) FIND OUT MORE FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY, SPEECH THERAPY AND EDUATION BEHAVIOURAL CHANGE AND SOCIAL INFLUENCE (C²IS) How can we change our behaviour in order to achieve a lasting and sustainable transition? Traditional methods often consist of providing information, but these methods are not very effective. Social Identity Theory appears to be a more effective alternative. The C²IS course invites students to create a short video based on this theory in order to induce behavioural change. The work is carried out in groups throughout the year and a collective presentation is given during the exam period. The Green Office at ULiège participates in the final assessment and peer reviews are taken into account. Benoit Dardenne (b.dardenne@uliege.be) GEMBLOUX AGRO-BIO TECH HEXA, AN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BIODIVERSITY As part of the Bioengineering Bachelor's degree portfolio teaching unit, a group of five students came together to propose a project to raise children's awareness of the importance of insects for the environment and the preservation of biodiversity. This project took the form of installing several insect hotels on the Gembloux campus. Free educational and fun activities were then organised for younger children through their schools. Through this project, the students involved put their project management skills to good use, but above all, they passed on their passion for the world of insects to the younger generations.
