HEC LIÈGE BUSINESS SCHOOL THE WELCOME SPRINT: THREE DAYS TO INNOVATE THE CITY The Welcome Sprint is an initiative designed to reinvent the way new bachelor's students are welcomed and integrated. During the first three days of the academic year, first-year bachelor's students enjoyed an immersive experience within the school, allowing them to propose entrepreneurial projects at the crossroads of the realities of the city of Liège and the Sustainable Development Goals. This collective experience mobilised the entire school and its stakeholders and enabled the genuine inclusion of first-year students. The Welcome Sprint was part of the new course "Business, Sustainability and Transition”. Bruno Gemenne (bruno.gemenne@uliege.be) FIND OUT MORE FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE SOCIOLOGY OF ORGANISED ACTION The actions of individuals and human organisations threaten the habitability of the critical zone in which they live. How can we think about collective action when it threatens our conditions of existence, habitability, thought and action? And how can we act in such conditions? Through a series of lectures, this course offers students methodological and conceptual tools for understanding the processes of collective action. Participants then use these tools to carry out a case study and report on the actions taken by individuals and organisations on their organisational, political, commercial and living environments. To better understand how human action can threaten or preserve the habitability of the critical zone, a gestural lecture and a masterclass, combining academic knowledge and personal experiences, are also offered to students.
