3.3 FUTURE PROJECTS The coming year promises to be rich in meaningful projects, reinforcing the University's commitment to serving society. Whether through 'One Health Campus', a participatory sustainable development project in schools, or via Ucoopia, Europe's first inter-university NGO, ULiège continues to forge links between academic knowledge, collective action and societal impact, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. “ONE HEALTH CAMPUS”: PARTICIPATORY CONSTRUCTION OF A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ACTION PLAN WITHIN A SOCIAL ADVANCEMENT INSTITUTION The project led by ESPRIst-ULiège has been selected as a winner of the ARES 2025-26 sustainable development call for projects. The aim of the project is to support the EAFC Fléron-Charlemagne social advancement school in its sustainable development efforts by mobilising the entire educational community (students, teachers, management, technical staff, etc.). To do this, the team will use Wagyl, a fun, participatory tool designed to encourage collective reflection on the links between humans, animals and the environment (the "One Health" approach). Together the participants will take stock of the school's current practices, come up with ideas for concrete actions, and build a realistic action plan to improve their social and environmental impact. The project will run throughout the 2025-2026 school year, with activities, workshops and a festive closing event. It also aims to strengthen cohesion within the school and serve as an example for other schools. The project is supported by the Walloon Region and the school management. Julie Kinet (Julie.Kinet@uliege.be); Véronique Halbardier (V.Halbardier@uliege.be) FIND OUT MORE UCOOPIA, EUROPE'S FIRST INTER-UNIVERSITY NGO, BRINGING NEW ENERGY Ucoopia is the result of a merger between the NGOs ULBCoopération (ULB) and Eclosio (ULiège), with the support of UMONS. Effective from January 2026, this union will aim to strengthen the impact of cooperation actions in a context of limited public resources. Ucoopia aims to become a benchmark for university cooperation in Europe and beyond, by building bridges between academic knowledge, local communities and institutions. Active on several continents, it will continue existing projects while developing innovative initiatives in health, the environment, education and employment. The partner universities welcome this bold, meaningful and forwardlooking approach. Ucoopia embodies a strengthened commitment to social justice, sustainability and coconstruction.
