The major project for HEC Liège over the next few years: the creation of a brand new campus spread over 1.6 ha, in the very centre of Liège, at the crossroads between rue Saint-Gilles and rue Louvrex. A new project that is part of a sustainable development perspective.
This new campus, which will become a reality by 2022, will be built around 4 elements:
It will centralise all activities and bring all staff together on a single campus with work and learning spaces designed from a NWOW (New Ways of Working) and NWOL (New Ways of Learning) perspective.
"This campus is a new milestone in the history of HEC Liège - School of Management of the University of Liège since the first appearance of management sciences within the University of Liège in 1896, the creation of HEC Liège by companies in 1898, the establishment of the School on the current site in 1994 and the merger between the School of Business Administration (EAA) and HEC in 2005" underlines Wilfried NIESSEN, Managing Director and Dean of HEC Liège.
Learning, the students' well-being, job satisfaction and autonomy are at the heart of our concerns. Infrastructures and their organisation have been reflected through this prism, in relation to digital and technological developments and their ability to foster the emergence of a new corporate culture.
"A very large convivial space on the south side of the building will allow students and professors to circulate as well as provide them with work spaces throughout their studies. This space is intended to be a lively and generous place, made up of encounters and exchanges which are the common thread of the project" explain the architects of Atelier bruxellois 229 to whom the work has been entrusted.
The new building is also part of a sustainable development perspective. The use of raw and healthy materials, radiant heating, air quality probes, rainwater recovery, a bicycle park with more than 50 spaces, are some of the guidelines that will be taken to reduce the building's impact on its environment.

Cette nouvelle liaison cyclable permettra de rejoindre le Sart Tilman depuis le Ravel de la vallée de l’Ourthe et se connectera au réseau cyclable du campus.
In as part of a study of the ecological network conducted by the University of Liège, users of the sart Tilman site are invited to take part in a major butterfly inventory.
