THE ULIÈGE GREEN OFFICE IN 2024-2025: COLLECTIVE MOBILISATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE TRANSITION Throughout the year, the Green Office has strengthened the sustainable dynamic at ULiège by mobilising its community around innovative, collective and engaging initiatives. Whether through the UNI for Change app, the Climate Fortnight, the Nourrir les Campus festival or the launch of the ULiège Sustainability Friends network, each action has helped to raise awareness, bring people together and drive change within the university and beyond. UNI for Change: a mobile application for action Launched to stimulate sustainable engagement, the UNI for Change app has seen its community grow to over 1,900 users, with a majority of students (77%), as well as staff members (18%) and citizens or alumni (5%). It offers more than 50 challenges, training courses and solidarity activities, and promotes events organised by partners such as Eclosio and LIEGE CREATIVE. Together, through the challenges, users have achieved a collective saving of more than 150 tonnes of CO₂. Climate Fortnight 2024: the power of the collective Organised from 12th to 22nd November 2024, to coincide with the COP, the second edition of the Climate Fortnight mobilised 829 participations in around 21 events. Highlights included the film Amazonia followed by a debate with committed figures (Princess Esmeralda, Adélaïde Charlier, etc.), conferences, a low-carbon breakfast, shows and fun workshops. This edition brought together numerous academic and associative partners. Nourrir les Campus Festival: raising awareness through the senses During the festival, the Green Office hosted a lecture by artist Cocovan on The World Letter, followed by three themed lectures combining tastings and discussions on ethical chocolate, food waste, and sustainable food. 340 people took part in these convivial and engaging events. Launch of the ULiège Sustainability Friends network Created in October 2024, this network already has 85 members (students, doctoral students and staff) and acts as a hub for sustainable initiatives. Run in collaboration with S'LAB, it organised eight events and training courses during the year.
