THE S’LAB-HEC LIÈGE ACTION TRIANGLE: WHEN BUSINESSES, POLITICIANS AND CITIZENS UNITE FOR THE TRANSITION Last March, HEC Liège's S'LAB organised the Triangle of Action, its first event open to the general public. Students, businesses and public services were able to engage in lively discussions on the challenges of social and environmental transition, with S'LAB acting as a liaison. Arranged in a triangle, the different groups were able to question, challenge and complement each other. What emerged from this? Everyone agreed that the transition is essential and that it demands collective commitment. In order to move towards truly sustainable and social actions that have a real impact, it seems necessary to engage in co-construction that takes into account the views of everyone: citizens, businesses and public authorities. As a business school, HEC has a real role to play in this dialogue. marianne.snakers@uliege.be ; bruno.gemenne@uliege. be FIND OUT MORE ULIÈGE RECOGNISED BY ARES FOR THREE INNOVATIVE SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES Following a call for projects by ARES to promote sustainable development in higher education institutions within the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, three projects led by members of ULiège were selected in July 2024, positioning the University as the top winner among the 12 participating institutions, with total funding of 13,775 euro. The first project is a Repair Café at Gembloux AgroBio Tech, aimed at encouraging the repair of objects and raising awareness of sustainability while creating a friendly space. The second, QuackCrop, introduces Indian runner ducks to the vegetable gardens of WASABI (a platform for teaching and research in urban agriculture and urban and periurban biodiversity), to promote sustainable and circular agriculture. The third, le p'TI Journal, is a journal of student translations from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters on the theme "Living and learning together", promoting the values of sustainable development through interdisciplinary collaboration.
