© Véronica Dakpui RAISING AWARENESS AND PREVENTING LGBTQIA+PHOBIA Various actions in support of the LGBTQIA+ community were carried out on the Gembloux and Liège campuses. At Gembloux, the Collectif Zherot was particularly active. Rainbow flags were raised on all four campuses, and several events took place, including debates, a show entitled ‘Chose’, articles in Le Quinzième Jour newspaper, awareness-raising by the Student Quality of Life Service, and collaboration with associations for conferences and projects such as ‘Unique en son genre’. These initiatives show that ULiège wants to be an inclusive and caring space for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. The highlight of 2023-24 was ULiège’s participation in the Liège Pride Parade on 24th August 2024. Its participation in this event also aimed to inform the public about ULiège’s inclusion, equality and diversity policies, and to explicitly support the rights of LGBTQIA+ people.
