ARES call for sustainable development projects

In Institution Students

The Académie de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur (ARES) is launching its 7th call for projects to promote sustainable development (SD) in higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB). The call is open to all members of the university community.

ARES-funded projects involve raising awareness, providing information, networking partners or implementing activities that contribute to the sustainable development goals on FWB university campuses. Their aim will be to enhance the skills of students and staff so that they can play an active role in promoting SD within HEIs. These projects should ideally involve students, researchers, teachers and administrative staff.

Eligible projects will be evaluated and selected in June by a jury, which will pay particular attention to the relevance and appropriateness of the action in relation to the objectives of the call (contribution to SD), the quality and mobilizing nature of the project, its sustainability (beyond funding), and its methodological and budgetary feasibility.

Projects must be implemented during the 2024-25 academic year. They will be eligible for funding of between €3,000 and €6,000.

Applications must be submitted no later than midnight April 29, 2024, by filling in the electronic form on the ARES website.

Any person or group wishing to submit a project must notify the Sustainability Officer of the Cellule institutionnelle du développement durable de l'ULiège , who will be able to advise and support them in the process, in good time before the submission date.

The results of the project evaluation will be announced in summer 2024.
