Refrigerators, printers, coffee machines... Pooling electrical equipment reduces the institution's energy consumption.

  • Constantly plugged in, refrigerators and cold rooms consume a lot of energy. It is therefore particularly interesting to share this equipment.
  • Also, reduce the number of individual equipment such as printers, coffee machines, beverage dispensers, video projectors, scanners... in favor of collective equipment.

The right reflexes that make a difference

  • Try to keep your new equipment as long as possible as it is usually subject to stricter consumption standards.
  • When you heat a kettle full of water to use only one cup, you waste as much electricity as if you were watching television for over an hour. So heat only as much water as you need (within the minimum for each kettle).
  • Do not let frost settle in fridges and freezers used by services and departments. Indeed, a layer of 2 to 3 mm of frost leads to an additional consumption of 10% and the additional consumption exceeds 50% from 1 cm of frost.
